The confirmed platform
Nintendo describes The Duskbloods as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. FromSoftware’s announcement also presents the game as part of the Nintendo Switch 2 release plan.
- Confirmed platform: Nintendo Switch 2.
- Announced release window: 2026.
- Official multiplayer description: action with up to eight players.
Is The Duskbloods crossplay?
No official crossplay feature has been announced in the Nintendo and FromSoftware pages tracked here. Because the published platform is Nintendo Switch 2 only, there is currently no confirmed cross-platform network pool to document.
That is a status answer, not a definitive “crossplay will never exist” claim. Nintendo or FromSoftware could publish additional platform or account information later, and this page should be updated from that first-party announcement.
What the eight-player statement confirms
Nintendo confirms multiplayer action for up to eight players and uses the term Bloodsworn for the player group. The official pages do not yet spell out matchmaking regions, private lobbies, friend invites, voice chat, cross-save, or crossplay settings.
- Up to eight players is confirmed.
- Bloodsworn is the official player-group term.
- Solo campaign availability, crossplay, and cross-save should not be inferred from the player cap.
How to check for a future update
When Nintendo or FromSoftware publishes network details, look for explicit wording such as cross-platform play, platform matchmaking, Nintendo Account requirements, or regional server rules. A trailer silhouette or a community post is not enough to turn crossplay into a confirmed feature.
